The windows in your home are one of the most important barriers between your homes living areas and the elements outside. Make sure that barrier can stand up to everything the Pacific Northwest weather can throw at it; not only insulation against the bitter cold of winter, but also against the heat of summer. Low-e and other types of energy efficient windows are the key to keeping your home comfortable all year long.

Residential window glass

Did you know that updating your homes windows will:

  • Reduce your monthly heating bill in the winter and lower your energy use during the summer months.
  • Add an updated look to the exterior of your home.
  • Reduce the penetration of outside noise.

We have a large inventory of glass in a variety of thickness ranging from 1/16″ to 1″, custom cut to any size. Our products include:

  • Low-E Glass
  • Tempered Safety Glass
  • Laminated Safety Glass
  • Insulated Double Pane Glass (3/8″ to 1″)
  • Plate Glass (1/16″ to 3/4″ thick)

If you have a single-pane window that is broken in your home we can typically fix the unit on the same visit. All we need is a fairly accurate size of the broken unit, it’s location in the house, (first floor or higher), and to confirm that it doesn’t need to be safety glass. We can typically quote you a very accurate price over the phone with the necessary information. 503-209-3888 Our technicians can usually cut the exact size of glass that’s needed for your repair once we arrive at the job site.┬áIn most cases your window can be repaired the same day, and if additional time is needed, we will secure your home from the elements.

For applications requiring added strength, tempered glass is used. Tempered glass is manufactured using a special heat treatment and quenching process that increases its strength up to four or five times that of annealed glass. If subjected to stress beyond its capacity, tempered glass simply disintegrates into innumerable small pieces, significantly reducing the risk of serious injury. Tempered glass is used anywhere that glass is more prone to human contact such as doors, windows close to the floor, stair landings and tub/shower enclosures. Check your local building code for details or more specific locations. Your safety, and the safety of your family, guests, and visitors is the responsibility we take very seriously.
